Strengthening Aviation Cybersecurity: A Productive Three-Day Workshop Between FHNW and Airbus
The aviation industry faces an evolving landscape of challenges, from extreme weather conditions to the integration of new fuel and energy systems including hydrogen technology. As part of the EU Horizon Project Albatros, the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) recently hosted a productive three-day workshop focused on aviation cybersecurity with industry partner Airbus.About the Albatros ProjectThe Albatros project (Advanced systems and solutions for better practices against hazards in the aviation system) is a Horizon Europe-funded initiative with an overarching ambition to maintain high levels of safety and resilience in aviation. The project specifically addresses the challenges posed by extreme weather conditions and the transformative changes brought about by the evolution of aviation systems, particularly new fuel and energy systems including hydrogen technology that will be integrated into both future aircraft and airport infrastructures.Workshop Focus: Aviation CybersecurityDuring the three-day workshop, members from FHNW and Airbus collaborated on developing innovative…
