AI Compliance Takes Center Stage as Swiss Companies Navigate Responsible AI Adoption

3. September 2026

On 31 August, more than 350 participants gathered in Olten for the fully booked Swiss Digital Leadership Forum, where artificial intelligence, digitalization, marketing, leadership and other aspects of digital transformation were at the heart of discussions.

During the event, Prof. Dr. Bettina Schneider and Susanne Amrein delivered a session titled “How can companies use AI tools in a legally secure and responsible way?” The presentation addressed the practical challenges organizations face when integrating AI into their business operations. Such as:

  • Pragmatic AI compliance: How companies can approach AI compliance pragmatically and efficiently.
  • AI-related risks: Which risks and stumbling blocks often occur in the introduction of AI applications.
  • IT and data governance: Why viable IT and data governance forms the basis of any functioning AI governance.
  • Data protection and contracts: How requirements from data protection, compliance and contract drafting can be effectively implemented.

Continuing the conversation

For professionals looking to explore the topic in greater depth, FHNW will soon offer the seminar AI Compliance & Governance: Use of AI Tools in the Company, bringing together Susanne Amrein and other experts to examine the practical implications of AI adoption in organizations.

What successful organizations do differently

AI adoption is accelerating. The organizations that combine innovation with responsible governance will be best positioned to build lasting digital trust.
