What if we could rethink Digital Trust from the ground up?

That’s exactly what our Digital Trust lecturers did in a fantastic Design Thinking workshop.
We deliberately stepped away from today’s definitions, technologies, and frameworks and started thinking about Digital Trust in 2030.

What will organisations need to trust, control, and navigate in a world shaped by AI, cyber threats, digital dependencies, and emerging technologies?

Our answer is becoming clearer:

Digital Trust is not about trusting technology.

It is about creating the conditions in which organisations can confidently use technology while remaining resilient, responsible, and in control. That means bringing together AI & Trust, Cyber Resilience, Digital Sovereignty, Governance & Assurance, and Responsible Emerging Technologies.

More importantly, it means moving from “How do we manage digital risks?” to “How do we create organisations that can confidently thrive in a digital world?”

That is the direction we are now shaping for Digital Trust at FHNW as we look toward 2030.
