Looking Back at a Successful 2024 – Competence Center Digital Trust

As we reflect on 2024, we are delighted by our accomplishments at the Competence Center Digital Trust. This year, we placed a strong emphasis on research acquisition, aligning with our strategic focus. We proudly launched two new research branches—AI and education—both of which are now shaping our research activities.
Key highlights from the year include:
Research Growth: We started 3 new projects, maintained 10 ongoing projects, and collaborated with over 40 consortium partners.
Funding Success: We secured CHF 390k in research funding, with a notable portion dedicated to Africa-related research in cybersecurity and culture.
Active Research Acquisition: We submitted 10 proposals, with 6 still in progress, and advanced multiple funding applications.
Publications & Outreach: Our team contributed to approximately 10 peer-reviewed publications and 10 outreach presentations. We engaged with over 150 professionals at Digital Trust Day and 50 women through Women in Digital and SheLeadsTech.
Education Engagement: We delivered over 20 core/specialization modules, introduced 3 new modules, and supervised more than 60 students.
