Swiss Africa Cybersecurity Community Featured on Initiative Afrique Podcast

On December 5th, Franka Ebai particpiated attended the Africa-Bern Research Partnership Day 2025 at the University of Bern, where researchers from Switzerland and multiple African regions presented their work and engaged in cross-regional dialogue. During the event, she also contributed insights on the ongoing Swiss–Africa Cybersecurity Community.

The Swiss Africa Cybersecurity Community was recently featured on the Initiative Afrique podcast. As part of an effort to expand the community’s reach, Franka Ebob Enow Ebai from the Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz (FHNW) and Roman Bögli from the University of Bern took part in the 23-minute episode.

During the podcast, the two partner representatives shared insights into how the community was established, its evolution over time, the contributions of its members, and its long-term vision.

Key successes highlighted during the discussion include the acquisition of new knowledge among partners, the expansion of professional networks, and the development of new collaborations. A central takeaway from the interview was that Swiss and African stakeholders can learn significantly from one another in the field of cybersecurity.

As the community continues to grow and pursue its objectives, its long-term goal is to establish a lasting presence and create sustainable impact.
