Women in Cyber – Voice of the Year Finalist: Dr. Swantje Westpfahl

We are proud to share that Dr. Swantje Westpfahl has been nominated as a finalist for the Women in Cyber – Voice of the Year 2026 award, spearheaded by the NIS-2-Congress. Dr. Westpfahl has been selected as one of eight finalists in the prestigious Leading Voice category.

We warmly invite you to support Dr. Swantje Westpfahl by casting your vote and sharing the news within your networks. Online voting for the finalists in the category Leading Voice is open until March 31, 2026.

  • All voters have the chance to win one of ten honorary tickets to the 3rd NIS-2 Congress.
  • The winners will be honored at the 3rd NIS-2 Congress Gala on May 11, 2026, at the Steigenberger Airport Hotel in Frankfurt.

The Women in Cyber – Voice of the Year 2026 initiative aims to:

  • Increase the visibility of female role models in cybersecurity
  • Actively promote diversity and equal opportunities
  • Inspire more talent to enter the field

The award honors women who make cybersecurity understandable, tangible, and impactful through research, education, community engagement, leadership, or daily contributions within organizations.

Out of 95 submissions, only 16 finalists were selected by an independent jury in two categories: Rising Voice and Leading Voice.

The “Leading Voice” category recognizes women who have shaped cybersecurity discourse over many years. The selection criteria can be found here
