ENISA’s Ad Hoc Working Group on Cybersecurity Standardisation
Prof. Dr. Bettina Schneider recently participated in the first hybrid meeting of the ENISA Ad Hoc Working Group on Standardisation, contributing to ongoing efforts to advance cybersecurity standardization across Europe.

Hosted by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), the two-day meeting brought together experts from industry and academia to discuss the current state of cybersecurity standards and identify priorities for future collaboration.
The meeting focused on several topics, including:
- The current landscape of cybersecurity standards across Europe
- Standardisation needs arising from the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)
- Certification frameworks and technical implementations
- Standards tailored for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
- Sector-specific cybersecurity requirements
- Funded initiatives supporting cybersecurity standardisation
Through presentations and interactive discussions, participants exchanged perspectives on future priorities, ongoing contributions, and the group’s roadmap for upcoming activities.
Shared below are links to tools and reports for SME’s to learn more about and evaluate their level of preparedness for the CRA, and a guideline for implementing the NIS2 Directive.
